RabidRetrospectGames is one of the largest gaming channels on Youtube, with over 1.02 million subscribers, 11,037 videos, and 847,013,661 views as of 2026. I served as a Video Editor (recording footage and b-roll along with editing videos) from 2016-2019, and Creative Director (scheduling, formatting, and correspondence) from 2019-2024.
My time with RRG taught me a lot about the realities of games media: specifically, its time constraints and heavy competition. It was the kind of work that required patience and a detail-focused mindset to keep up with the steady stream of new releases. Frame timings, sound synchronization, seamless cuts, and careful file notation were all useful editing skills I picked up while creating RGG's' library of content.
As Creative Director, I helped decide what titles the channel would cover, and worked to establish RRG with a unique channel identity. Some examples of my work include RRG's expansion of coverage of vintage Nintendo games and its Youtube Shorts video format, both of which are still used on the channel today.
